Accessibility
Aeero should work for every student, including disabled students and anyone using assistive technology.

Our commitment
Aeero is built by students, for students. College already has enough barriers, so we work to make sure our website and our texting service are usable by as many people as possible, regardless of disability, device or connection.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across aeero.io. These guidelines describe how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, speech and cognitive disabilities.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML, a logical heading order, and descriptive labels for buttons and links.
- Support full keyboard navigation, with a “Skip to content” link and visible focus states.
- Keep text contrast readable against its background, and keep body text at comfortable sizes.
- Never rely on colour alone. Every coloured state, like the grades in our finals calculator, is also spelled out in words.
- Respect your system's “Reduce motion” setting by turning off scroll effects and animations.
- Pause the moving logo rows when you hover over them, and hide decorative duplicates from screen readers.
- Offer a text-only version of our content at /llms-full.txt.
Aeero by text message
Because Aeero works over iMessage, SMS and WhatsApp, you can use it with the accessibility features already built into your phone, such as VoiceOver, TalkBack, dictation, larger text, and switch control. You don't need to learn a new app or interface.
Known limitations
- The animated phone conversations on the home page are illustrative examples. They are not needed to understand or use Aeero.
- Logos from partner schools are decorative and may not meet contrast guidelines on their own.
- Some third-party pages we link to, such as your school's learning platform, are outside our control.
We review the site as we add features, and we fix issues as we find them.
Feedback and help
If something on aeero.io or in Aeero itself is hard to use, please tell us. Email support@aeero.io with “Accessibility” in the subject, or text Aeero at (628) 488-7621. Tell us the page or feature, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use, if any. We aim to reply within 5 business days, and we can provide the information you need in another format.
